Secret Gardens
"Secret Gardens" takes a critical look at the growing presence of psychology in western cultures. This growing presence is accompanied by false beliefs that emotional phenomena can be described with psycho-mathematical formulas. In contrast, this pseudopredictability of psychological phenomena creates (potentially endless) loops of rumination. The series "Secret Gardens" applies a rather intuitive approach to psychological phenomena that are located along the border of the speakable and the unspeakable.

The message to be conveyed is the following: Not all mental phenomena are easily expressed with words. There is no nostrum for life satisfaction. Nothing sells better than manuals for self-optimization. Thus, enduring happiness is a promise of unqualified psychotherapists or columns of low-quality magazines.
